Fun & Fear
In 1994, residents of the small town of Clear Lake, WI fell victim to a strange and horrible disease. An influential preacher blamed the deaths on the heresy and sins of some in the town. Unable to find the cause of the disease, the government evacuated and quarantined the town. Fifteen years later a documentarian out of Minneapolis convinced a group of 5 former high school students to revisit the ghost town and to tell their sensational story. When they return to the empty town, strange things begin to happen. The documentary filmmaker disappears and the rest of them realize they must deal with the ghosts of the past and confront the evil that never truly disappeared.

Short
The last hours of the night has approached for several people’s story lines: the sly bartender who attempts to comfort a younger hotheaded woman who has once again been stood up by her husband; an affectionate couple on a date who both have significant others at home; an overambitious Black Jack player who has angered an old Cuban bookie who is coming to the realization that his wife is cheating on him; and a lone runner who is trying to fix his misstep by beating everybody to the scene of the future crime. Each person’s actions and miscues will directly and indirectly affect the outcome of the night.
North American - Documentary
An accurate depiction of the American diet and how it affects the general health and nutrition of its citizens. The film’s focus is to educate people about the obscene dangers and complex health risks involved in consuming hydrogenated oils and other chemical food additives. The film will also explore the economic implications of the medical expenses incurred treating diseases that are directly associated with consuming trans fats and chemical food additives. Should the economic health of a nation supersedes the health of its population?
Focus on Florida/Short
An homage to the silent comedies of the turn of last century, a comedy of errors where bank robbers, cops, the maid, the chef, and the posh upper crust interact through the classic trope of mistaken identities.
Cuba Sidebar
The co-creator of the Cuban classical ballet style and the choreographer of Carmen Suite is 90 years old, healthy and vibrant. Still working every day at a community college in north Florida, he now teaches kids how to dance with the same passion and professionalism he used all his life with some of the most important ballet dancers of the 20th century. Ricardo Acosta’s “Dance of my heart” is a sensitive, well-documented portrait of the Cuban dancer/choreographer Alberto Alonso. This film is not only an ode to the nestor of classical Cuban dance, but also an ode to the power of art, the power of love and the power of beauty that will not succumb to the power of time.
Short
What happens when the world’s bread supply mysteriously turns green? It’s not mold...Just a statement, but by whom? Can we all work together to find the answers before chaos ensues?
Focus on Florida
An Orlando woman uses her bicycle ride to work as a vehicle to explore fear and global warming. Shot in Orlando, Tampa, Sweden and Denmark, the film is a contemplative response to An Inconvenient Truth and provides a unique perspective on one person’s attempt to reduce her carbon footprint and overcome fear. Her journey to the answer takes the audience on a humorous bike ride with a camera strapped to the handle bars. This film features a bicycle ride with the Mayor of Orlando and music by Danish jazz violin sensation Mads Tolling.
